Many job hunters experience a point when they are having trouble finding a job. In these situations you have to get creative and think outside the box, such as utilizing your network or tweaking your job search terms. In this weeks AnthroJobs posting I have done both. So what did I find?

The program manager of the Design Across Cultures track at the Digital Society School recently posted an opening for a Digital Transformation Designer in the Design Anthropology group on LinkedIn. The position is a “two-year post-master… with a strong focus on digital technology, transformation and design.” The role includes an intriguing and proactive “combination of researching, teaching/coaching and learning/training,” as well as “designing, developing, and testing solutions (product or service)” within the Design Across Cultures track “in close collaboration with business partners and research groups.” They are looking for someone with a Masters degree and experience in “applied/digital anthropology, interaction/UX design, online and offline collaboration, communication sciences, social innovation and co-creation, and sustainability.” The deadline to apply is October 20th, so if you’re interested head on over to their website at digitalsocietyschool.org and maybe let them know that I sent you 🙂

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) is looking for an associate-level Social Impact Assessment Consultant in Boston to assist Project Managers on a variety of Environmental, Social & Health Impact Assessments of large-scale development projects in the US and internationally. The job requirements include a Master’s degree in anthropology, a demonstrated interest in business consulting and environmental/social issues, 1 to 3 years of experience and fluency in a second language, with Spanish preferred. Lastly, Ripple Effect is looking for a Research and Evaluation Associate in Rockville, MD. The company “works with federal, private, and non-profit clients to support some of the most crucial policies and programs that shape our nation.” The right candidate will work under the Director of Research and Evaluation on a variety of evaluation projects at the National Health Institute and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid. Requirements include a Master’s degree, at least 3 years of post-graduate social research or evaluation work, and proficiency with qualitative data analysis software such as NVivo and ATLAS.ti.
