FrameWorks Institute is a team of social scientists and strategists with diverse backgrounds and a wide array of professional experiences whose mission is to advance the nonprofit sector’s communications capacity by conducting and translating empirical research on framing the public discourse about a variety of social problems – from health equity to criminal justice to early childhood development to climate change. Their approach is unique in that they focus on both research and application. The FrameWorks research team studies public thinking on different social issues and conducts original empirical research on frame effects, while the FrameWorks strategy team translates those research findings and turns them into engaging learning experiences and compelling communications products so partners can build their framing capacity and immediately apply FrameWork’s recommendations to their own work.
FrameWorks is seeking a Senior Researcher with expertise in mixed methods to join their team. The ideal candidate is someone who is intellectually curious, creative, insightful, informed about contemporary policy issues, committed to realizing social justice and equity, and has strong conceptual and analytical skills. The successful candidate will be a part of FrameWorks’ research team and investigate how to effectively reframe a wide range of social and scientific issues, such as affordable housing, poverty, education equity, and climate change. This is an outstanding opportunity for a mid-career professional with experience in social science research and a demonstrated commitment to equity and social change. The Senior Researcher will collect, analyze, and synthesize multiple streams of quantitative and qualitative data to produce framing recommendations for advocates, experts, and scientists working to engage the public about policy solutions to social issues.
