AnthroJobs of the Week, 14 May 2019
Lots of jobs are being posted out there, so let’s do a quick roundup of jobs in the western part of the US, instead of focusing on a particular position…
If you are looking in the Southwest, PaleoWest Archaeology (Phoenix) is looking for a Cultural Resources Project Manager, with experience in project management and archaeology preferred. The firm is also looking for several Archaeological Field Technicians for field work across Arizona.
Next door in Albuquerque, NV5 is looking for a Cultural Resources Crew Chief. A grad degree and 5 years regional experience are among the preferred qualifications. NV5 is also looking for a Cultural Resource Principle Investigator; a grad degree and 8 years of experience are among the needed qualifications.
As long as you are looking in Albuquerque, the University of New Mexico is looking for an Archaeologist. A bachelor’s degree and one year of experience are preferred. The university is also looking for Archaeology Crew Members with similar qualifications.
And yes, there is more than the Southwest. In Los Angeles, the UCLA Biological Anthropology of Motherhood Lab is looking for a part-time Lab Assistant. Up in the Bay Area, in Santa Clara, LG Electronics is looking for a contract User Researcher, with three years experience and a grad degree preferred.
A last posting for the day for physical anthropologists comes from Brighton, Colorado, where a county Medicolegal Death Investigator/Deputy Coroner position is open, although the closing date is very soon.
