Senior Level Business / Organizational Anthropologist at Wayne State University
The Department of Anthropology at Wayne State University announces a full-time, tenured/tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate who can contribute to the department’s growing concentration in the anthropology of contemporary businesses and organizations, beginning Fall semester, 2011. Rank and salary are commensurate with experience and qualifications (Ph.D. required). Wayne State University is a leading urban research university, located in the Detroit Cultural Center and serving a diverse student body. The successful candidate will have a record of scholarship in economic anthropology, political anthropology, globalization, or design anthropology. A record of peer-reviewed publications, external funding, and excellence in teaching is essential. He or she will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Business and Organizational Anthropology, as well as required core curriculum courses, and will be responsible for recruiting and mentoring graduate students.
