“Collaborative Anthropologies” seeks editor

Collaborative Anthropologies, a journal published annually by the University of Nebraska Press meant to engage the growing and ever-widening discussion of collaborative research and practice in anthropology and in closely related fields, is seeking a new editor or editors.

WHO: Individuals or teams with interest and involvement in developing collaborative forms of research may apply.

WHAT: The new editor or editors will have the opportunity to select associate editors for the new editorship and facilitate the growth of an exciting and developing area of anthropological work.

WHEN: The new editor or editors will take over editorship for volume 7 (2014) in January 2013. The current editors, Luke Eric Lassiter & Samuel R. Cook, will see through the editorship and publication of volume 6 (2013), and facilitate the smooth transition of the new editor or editors.

WHERE: Interviews will be held at the 111th annual meeting of the AAA in San Francisco on Friday, 16 November 2012. (For applicants not attending the meetings, we’ll arrange a Skype or conference call.)

WHY: It’s time for some new perspective and direction!

HOW: Interested applicants should submit a one-page description of their ideas and plans for developing the journal. Please send to the current editors, Luke Eric Lassiter (lassiter@marshall.edu) and Samuel R. Cook (sacook2@vt.edu).
