Submit to NAPA
General instructions and other information regarding how and why to submit to NAPA’s various publishing and social media platforms.
Since 1986, The Annals of Anthropological Practice (formerly NAPA Bulletin) has been a series dedicated to the practical problem-solving and policy applications of anthropological knowledge and methods. The Annals feature thought-provoking research on current topics related to public health, social justice, the media, environmental management and myriad other timely issues. The peer-reviewed Annals seek to engage practitioners, academicians, and students.
The Annals are currently published by Wiley Press and are available to NAPA members upon publication. It is also possible to purchase individual titles (electronic format; prior to 2015, print format may be available).

Background
Published for decades as the NAPA Bulletin series, NAPA decided to be among the first of the publishing sections in the AAA portfolio to move into a fully digital publication in 2015. This change was designed to help streamline the editorial process, and shorten the time from submission to publication for the AAP. For more information on the significant editorial change in 2015, you may review the background on the changes here.
As a benefit of membership, NAPA members receive an email link to each AAP issue upon its publication. All past and future issues will continue to be available through AnthroSource on the AAA website.

Relaunched in fall 2012, the NAPA newsletter, NAPA Notes, is published three times a year by NAPA: in early spring before the SfAA annual meeting, at the end of summer before the EPIC Conference, and in late fall prior to the AAA annual meeting.
NAPA Notes provides brief news and highlights of NAPA and its members. Submit your news items (publications, major grants, milestones), comments, and suggestions in the form below. Send queries and comments to NAPA Notes Editorial team (napanoteseditors@gmail.com).
Anthropology News is the American Anthropological Association’s (AAA) award-wining member magazine, published bimonthly in print and continually on their website.
Each issue of the print magazine (distributed to AAA members) is developed on a theme—often topics of general interest, current events, or discussions in the discipline—by the editor who works directly with authors. The editor solicits content through CFPs to the whole membership and direct invitations.
The Anthropology News website (open to the public) publishes stories from the print magazine and much more in the way of topical and timely content, AAA news, in memoriam notices, and submissions from AAA sections.
Anthropology News is a place for telling insightful and analytical anthropology stories. Their aim is to champion engaging, incisive, anthropology writing and multimodal content from across the discipline. We aim to develop fresh scholarly or professional argument that appeals to anthropologists and anyone with an interest in anthropology. Think magazine-style stories with scientific bite. Telling stories and sharing expertise in this way is not about simplifying our empirical work or reducing our complex ideas; it is about using a clean and clear style to convey that complexity and nuance.
