C. Timothy McKeown is a legal anthropologist with the U.S. Department of the Interior. Tim has devoted much of the past 25 years to implementing various aspects of the United States Code, including: Title 25, as team leader for implementation of the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (1991-2009) and providing litigation support on cases brought under the American Indian Trust Fund Management Reform Act (2009-present); Title 5, as the elected president of the union chapter representing 800 bargaining unit members of the National Park Service’s Washington Office (2003-2009); and Title 18, as the appointed foreperson of a grand jury in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia (1999-2001).

Tim earned his BA (1977) in anthropology from the University of South Florida and MA (1982) and PhD (1988) in anthropology from Northwestern University.C. Timothy McKeown
