AnthroJobs of the Week, 3 July 2017

We are a little late with this week’s post, but if you have attended an EPIC conference, this job will be familiar to you: Oculus, the company in Redmond, WA, that produces those virtual reality headset gizmos, is looking for a post-doctoral research scientist in digital anthropology.  This is a two-year, full time contract. Minimum qualifications include 2+ years experience with human social behaviors and developing behavioral frameworks, and 2+ years experience with qualitative research including ethnographic observation, in-depth interviews, contextual inquiry, and other related methods. There are other relevant qualifications required and desired, but it should be another great opportunity to push the boundaries of anthropological applications.

If it is something more traditional you seek, a health-related contract position for a qualitative research analyst is open at Addx Corporation in Washington, DC.  M.A. level or higher,  4-6 years experience, qualitative analysis tools and other software experience are amonth the requirements.
