AnthroJobs of the Week, 17 June 2017

You don’t often find the word “anthropology” in job listings, but here is one: The Family, Gender and Life Course (FGL) department of the Pan American Health Organization is seeking a Medical Anthropology Advisor, to be based in Washington, D.C. PhD preferred, with nine years of related experience (research evaluation, program management, gender, etc.) required.  English and/or Spanish, with French and/or Portuguese a plus.

Across the pond is another health and anthropology-focused position at Oxfam UK. The organization is looking for a number of Public Health Promoter – Humanitarian Support Professionals . This seems to be a graduate-level position, with French fluency required, along with international emergency response and management experience desired, among other criteria.

There are jobs out there, so tell your parents to keep the faith!
